Product Description Now's your chance to take control of the U.S.S. Enterprise and show Captain Picard how it's done! In STAR TREK: The Next Generation "Future's Past," you'll assume the roles of several crewmembers as you embark on the most important mission the Federation has ever undertaken. The Derandomizer, once thought to be just a myth, has appeared and threatens the existence of the Federation. On top of that, the Romulans and Chodak fleets are in pursuit of the mysterious Derandomizer, and it's up to you to resolve the issue and ensure the future of the Federation. With Captain Picard's guidance, you'll chart new worlds and possibly even go where no man has gone before as you fight to save your existence and all that it stands for, in STAR TREK: The Next Generation "Future's Past."

The last time I played this game was about seven years ago. It was the first Star Trek game I ever played and is still one of my favorites. I rented it from a movie store that closed a couple of weeks after I had originally rented the game, so it took me a very long time to find the game again. Yes, it's two dimensional, yes it's graphics looks like something a three year old drew, but it still ranks up there, at least for me, with Elite Force and Bridge Commander. If you like The Next Generation and you have a super nintendo, get this game. You'll love it.
A Sad Trek... May 24, 2003 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
There are two SNES Star Trek games and this is the worst one! Not very innovative nor full of action and it has an impossible to figure out passcode system. But, I must say that it is finnaly a SNES game based-on-show game that is not a platformer. That's the only reason I give it 2 stars
